Outside Air Temperature Sensor Removal, Installation, and Test

Outside Air Temperature Sensor - Remove
1.
Lift the tab (A) to release the lock, then remove the outside air temperature sensor (B).
2.
Disconnect the outside air temperature sensor connector (C).

All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Before testing the sensor, check for climate control DTCs.

Outside Air Temperature Sensor - Test
1.
Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the resistance. Then pour warm water on the sensor, and check for a change in resistance.
2.
Compare the resistance reading between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 of the outside air temperature sensor with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.
3.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the outside air temperature sensor.
