Intake Manifold Removal and Installation
1. Intake Manifold - Exploded View

Exploded View



NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.

4. Intake Air Duct - Remove



NOTE: Do not disconnect the water bypass hoses.

8. Brake Booster Vacuum Hose, Hose, and MAP Sensor Connector - Disconnect

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A), the hoses (B), and the connector (C).

2.
Remove the fuel feed pipe (D) from the clamps.

9. PCV Hose - Disconnect

Disconnect the PCV hose (A).

2.
Remove the harness clamp (B).

10. Intake Manifold Bracket - Remove


11. Intake Manifold Assembly - Remove


12. All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail will be pressurized. Repeat this two or three times.
After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
